Do you have the time and resources to effectively manage your transportation?

At TLM, we serve as an extension of your transportation, distribution and logistics departments. Our goal is simply to lighten your workload and make managing your freight movement easier.

If you are like most companies today, your traffic manager wears many hats. Today, most transportation, distribution and logistics managers have added responsibilities ranging from purchasing to production to warehouse management. This leaves little time to effectively manage the movement of freight by multiple carriers to and from your warehouses, your vendors and your customers.

At TLM, we recognize that effectively managing the movement of freight can be more than a full-time job and requires a varied and specialized skill set. We also recognize the many differences that exist between effectively managing outbound, inbound, vendor-to-customer moves, show freight moves, international moves and returns from customers.

Members of our industry-experienced staff are skilled in each of these specialized areas and will serve as an extension of your transportation department to make your freight move easier and your traffic manager a success.

Here are some ways we can lighten your load and assist you in effectively managing your transportation:

  • We will serve as your one point-of-contact in dealing with any and all carriers you choose to utilize.
  • With your consent, we will negotiate your pricing with select carriers coupling your potential revenue with revenue we are currently doing with the carrier – this provides you with greater buying power and potentially greater discounts.
  • We will produce a Routing Guide specifically designed to meet your shipping needs and trends. This Routing Guide will be a simple, clear point-of-reference detailing which carriers to utilize when shipping to and from any given point based on price, service and claim-free performance.
  • We will serve as your one point-of-contact for all inbound shipments moving to you from your vendors and customers. In addition, we will manage your product returns and improve your overall inventory control process.
  • Regardless of how many carriers you utilize, you will receive only one detailed, consistent invoice from TLM. In addition, prior to invoicing you we will carefully audit each freight bill received from carriers. We will not invoice you until the carrier charges are correct.

Of course, you will also receive our package of standard value-added services:

  • We will accurately prepare Bills of Lading for you and your customers. When special handling of your shipment is required, we work with the carriers to ensure your needs are met.
  • We will dispatch the carriers for you.
  • Every pickup and delivery is verified to ensure it is made on time.
  • Each shipment is traced on a daily basis to ensure it is moving to make on-time service and moving without exception.
  • We will assist and represent you in the resolution of a shortage, damage or any resulting claim.

At TLM, we will take on the routine daily tasks that will allow your transportation manager the time to successfully oversee and manage your transportation.
